Both of her parents had successfully navigated the UPSC Indian Engineering Services Examination, which undoubtedly influenced Tina’s academic aspirations. After completing her schooling, she initially considered a Bachelor of Commerce degree. However, her passion for politics and governance led her to enroll in a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. It was during her first year that she decided to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, demonstrating an early commitment to serving her nation.
A prodigious talent, Tina Dabi displayed exceptional academic prowess, securing a remarkable 100% in Political Science and History during her 12th standard ICSE board exams. This achievement earned her the title of ‘Student of the Year’ from Lady Shri Ram College, a testament to her diligence and intellect. Her commitment to understanding the intricacies of the Indian Constitution and political landscape became evident as she excelled in her studies, ranking among the top students in Political Science at Delhi University. Tina’s personal journey intertwined with her professional one when she met Athar Aamir Khan during the IAS felicitation ceremony in 2015. Their bond deepened during their training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration in Mussoorie, where they also embarked on a memorable trip to the Netherlands, Paris, and Rome. While Tina initially preferred the Haryana cadre for her posting, aiming to champion women’s empowerment, she was allocated to the Rajasthan cadre due to category vacancies.
