In his early twenties, he found a position as a graphic designer in a reputable firm, where he discovered his knack for crafting witty one-liners for promotional posters. A pivotal moment arrived when he unexpectedly got the chance to perform at an advertisement shoot, where he was called upon to deliver a couple of lines. The exhilaration he felt on stage ignited his passion for stand-up comedy. Encouraged by friends, he began to explore open mics despite initial skepticism from his family, who viewed his budding interest in comedy as mere “time-pass.” However, as his popularity soared, the family recognized comedy as a viable profession.
With determination and talent, Munawar performed his first one-hour Gujarati show titled “Dodh Dahyo” in July 2019 and soon began uploading stand-up videos to his self-titled YouTube channel in January 2020.
